Edward De AngelisEdward De Angelis, President

Edward DeAngelis founded EDA Contractors, Inc. in 1999 after spending eleven years at Belcher Roofing Corporation.

After graduating college, Edward started his career as an entry level estimator but moved quickly through the ranks to the Chief Estimator before his departure in 1999. During his tenure, he became responsible for 75% of the sales volume for this firm.

Edward’s innovative personality has allowed EDA Contractors, Inc. to become a leader in its industry. Under his tutelage, EDA Contractors, Inc. started as a Roofing Contractor exclusively but has grown into a complete exterior envelope contractor. Always looking for another challenge, Ed has continually provided his customers with knowledgeable and qualified employees that share his unique vision.

Edward holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Saint Joseph’s University.

Donna HoldenDonna Holden, Office Manager

Ms. Holden was hired in 2005 as EDA’s Office Manager and has since developed exceptional workflows to streamline communication within the Corporation. Her key functions are preparing and negotiating revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, client’s suppliers and subcontractors, as well as, obtaining bonds, permits, licenses and insurance. She oversees the Risk Management in regards to all G/L, W.C., Auto and Human Resource claims. All Administrative personnel fall under her responsibility and direction to complete specific pieces required for the start-up of each project {i.e., wage rates, subcontractor/vendor agreements, billing, insurance, warranty’s, etc.}. Donna also is a key player within the Estimating Department and handles all pre-qualification paperwork. She works closely with the President on all new developments for Marketing, website design and new concept creativity. Prior to EDA, Donna worked 9 years at State Farm Insurance as an Office Coordinator in the Marlton, New Jersey Claim Office. Donna received her business certification from Katherine Gibbs Business School.

Brian HeeBrian Hee, Vice President of Office Operations
EDA Construction Company

Graduated from the Catholic University of America with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, concentration in Construction Management. He currently has 7 years experience in the construction industry all of which were spent with Turner Construction Company. He has held several positions ranging from field supervision, to department head of the cost department, to Project Manager in the Special Projects Division. The last several years have been spent managing projects in the healthcare industry. Brian joined EDA in March 2007 as a Project Manager.

Russ ManelRuss Manel, Vice President of Operations
EDA Contractors, Inc.

Mr. Manel is a graduate of Spring Garden College. Russ has worked as a Project Superintendent for two of the Engineering News Record’s top 200 Contractors. During which he led the construction of bridges, roadways and most recently a 65 million-dollar mass transit system. While working on the Newark-Elizabeth Rail Link Russ was directly responsible for the coordination of over ninety employees working in eight different trades. In February of 2007, he joined EDA as a Project Manager.

Lisa DunwoodyLisa Dunwoody, Accounting Manager

Ms. Dunwoody earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Muhlenberg College where she attended on a partial academic scholarship. She has numerous years experience in accounting, including working as the Office Manager of a manufacturing company for nearly six years. Her accomplishments include setting up and troubleshooting an in-house payroll system and in her current position as Accounting Manager, being responsible for the finances of four companies, including the initial set-up of the two of them. Ms. Dunwoody joined EDA in April 2006 as the Accounting Manager.

John QueeneyJohn Queeney, Service Manager

John Queeney took over the position of Service Manager in March 2010. Prior to being hired with EDA, Mr. Queeney spent the past 14 years in the building envelope protection business while working for one of the premiere waterproofing companies in our area. John has also excelled while working as a sales representative for the largest supplier of restoration and waterproofing material on the East Cost. John is also a proud graduate of the Williamson Trade School. He is able to combine a hard work ethic and sense of duty learned at school and in the field with the communication skills and dedicated customer service he learned as a manufacturer’s sales representative.

John RakusJohn Rakus, Estimator

John Rakus joined EDA Contractors, Inc. as an Estimator specializing in roofing and waterproofing with a commitment to meeting deadlines and interacting with field operations to ensure the estimated budget meets productivity goals and standards. John has worked in the construction industry for the past 15 years. Half of his construction experience was spent as an Operations Manager for a construction company ranked among the top 200 contractors in the nation as recognized by the Engineering News Record magazine. Understanding that business development goes beyond the take off, John takes pride in offering a full service scope to include: budgeting; cost breakout analysis; and, value engineering. John is a graduate of Rowan University and holds a degree in Political Science.

Jed FischerJed Fischer, Estimator
EDA Contractors, Inc.

Jed joins EDA as a Roofing and Waterproofing Estimator. He brings 10 years of previous General Contracting experience specializing in high end home remodeling and building. While owning his own business for 5 years prior to joining EDA, his field experience will allow for a smooth transition to Estimating. He is a former graduate of Phil-Mont and has obtained coursework in Architecture and Interior Design.

Hans BixlerHans Bixler, Estimator
EDA Construction Company

Hans has over 20 years experience specializing in Architectural Metals including 10 years of hands on field experience. He is very knowledgeable in metal wall panel systems including ACM, various rain screen systems and insulated wall panels. He also has a broad background in metal roofing and siding & architectural sheet metal. Having formerly owned his own business, he is familiar with all facets of construction. Over the last 10 years, Hans has worked as an estimator and project manager for the largest commercial/industrial exterior contractors in Denver, Colorado, Douglass Colony Group managing many highly successful projects.

Paul GoldbergPaul Goldberg, Assistant Project Manager
EDA Construction Company

Mr. Goldberg graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a M.S. in Engineering Management, focusing in Project Management & Value Engineering. Prior to NJIT, Paul attended Rutgers the State University of New Jersey, where he received a B.S. in Environmental Policy, Institutions, and Behavior with a focus in U.S. Environmental and Resource Policy. He received his LEED Accredited Professional status in June of 2009 under LEED Version 2.2. Prior to joining EDA, Paul worked as a Project Engineer for a reputable manufacturer and installer of architectural metal products in central New Jersey. As the popularity of LEED Certification grows in the building industry, it is important to have a staff capable of understanding the complexities that LEED Certification brings with it. Paul joined EDA in February 2010 as an Assistant Project Manager.

Scott SpicherScott Spicher, Superintendent
EDA Contractors, Inc.

Scott brings 22 years of roofing experience and has held prior positions as foreman, superintendant and Project Manager in his previous experience for a local commercial roofing contractor. He managed as many as 60 employees and subcontractors on multiple projects from New York to Florida that consisted of office buildings, malls, schools, retirement communities and restaurants that ranged in value of $100,000.00 to 3 million per project. He is currently pursuing his Bachelors of Science in Business with a concentration in Management at the University of Phoenix.

Mike HenryMike Henry, Superintendent

Mike Henry joined EDA in September 2010 as a Field Superintendent. Mike has over 30 years experience in the commercial roofing industry. Mike's experience in the Roofing and Waterproofing business started as a journeyman when he joined his father and uncle at George H. Duross, Inc. His knowledge and experience was honed thru the guidance of his family. He has extensive expertise in all areas of roofing, waterproofing and air barriers. His main duties include supervising all tradesmen personnel with planning, scheduling, directing jobs from start to finish and coordinating with other trades to insure prompt, successful job completion. He maintains a very strong work ethic and strives to attain the highest quality of workmanship for all of his projects.

SoltisAndrew Soltis, Assistant Project Manager

Andrew Soltis joined EDA Contractors, Inc. in September of 2010 as an Assistant Project Manager. He graduated from Villanova University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in Business. Andrew had previously spent two years in the Washington D.C. area with a large interior fit-out contractor. He has experience in both project management and estimating.

AlanMiriam Alan, Assistant Project Engineer

Miriam Alan joined EDA Contractors, Inc. in September 2010 as an Assistant Project Engineer. She is a former graduate of Temple University with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Before joining EDA, Miriam worked closely with professional civil engineers at a manufacturing concrete company where she designed different types of concrete as well as performed tests on concrete samples before their final sale. Miriam has also worked in the hospitality industry for several years which gives her a strong background in customer service and teamwork. She is currently a member of the ASCE and PMI.

Devin RossiDevin Rossi, Project Engineer

Devin joined EDA Contractors, Inc. in June 2010 as a Project Engineer. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management at Drexel University. Before joining EDA, Devin worked as a part-time Estimator in Philadelphia and as a salesman for a construction material supplier.

Erica CzerniakErica Czerniak, Administrative Assistant to Accounting Manager

Erica Czerniak, is an Accounting Assistant responsible for gathering daily time sheets for Union Roofers, processing weekly payroll for EDA Contractor employees, imputing A/P into QuickBooks, implementing monthly Subcontractor invoices for payment and running weekly job budgets and labor costs reports. Erica also assists the Service Manager by distributing day-to-day schedules to Service Technician’s and arranging and grouping together weekly tickets and photos to implement Service Billing. Prior to EDA, Erica worked with the General Manager in the Service Department for a Gutter Protection Company. Her responsibilities consisted of fielding all incoming calls, scheduling installations, setting up new customer accounts, processing payments and assisting GM with daily tasks. She is a former graduate of Pennsbury High School.

Colleen KirkpatrickColleen Kirkpatrick, Administrative Assistant to Office Manager

Ms. Kirkpatrick works directly with the Office Manager and Construction Department as an Administrative Assistant handling a diversified workload. Colleen’s responsibilities include the set-up of all Subcontractor documentation, pre-qualifications for the bidding process, preparation of meeting minutes & budgets, assisting in H.R. functions, ordering all company supplies, attendance tracking and day-to-day administrative requests. Before joining EDA in August of 2008, Colleen was the Lead Sales Entry Associate and Receptionist for a local manufacturing company in Bristol, PA. She is a former graduate of Somerville High School.

Christina MisztukChristina Misztuk, Administrative Assistant to Project Management/Billing Clerk

Ms. Misztuk is the Assistant to the Office Manager responsible for implementing monthly billing, compiling warranty close-out paperwork and assisting with Project Management. She is a graduate of Bensalem High School and has earned credits from Trinity Valley College and Immaculata University working towards her degree in Law. Before coming to EDA, Christina was a Claims Service Assistant with State Farm Insurance.

Courtney GrossCourtney Gross, Receptionist

Courtney Gross is the Front Desk Receptionist responsible for all phone calls, certified payroll, purchase orders and invoice processing. She also assists the Estimators and Service Manager handling incoming bid invites and typesetting required bid documents and formal proposals. She is a recent graduate from Bensalem High School and is currently pursuing a degree in Education at the Community College of Philadelphia.
