EDA Contractors Inc. was solicited by one of our manufacturers to perform the replacement of over 625 panels in this rain screen application. As a direct result of work performed on another project, this manufacturer had the confidence that EDA would be able to successfully and discreetly replace the panels on this fully occupied building in Philadelphia. The project required coordination with the building owner along with the current tenants to remove and replace panels, keep egress paths clear, and not disturb the occupants inside.

EDA’s fabrication abilities allowed an extremely quick turnaround time from field dimensions, to fabrication, to installation of new panels on site. EDA utilized swing scaffold and high reach equipment on a busy city street to complete this project in a safe and efficient manner making the owner and tenants of the building enthusiastically satisfied.

WPVI studios

EDA Contractors installed multiple panel systems on this high profile project for WPVI Studios Channel 6 located on City Avenue in Philadelphia. This project included an architectural design that provided numerous different material types including zinc, composite panels, curtain wall, and limestone to create a contemporary office and studio space for the owner. The architect’s strict attention to detail made this a challenging project, but as usual, EDA rose to the challenge and provided a rain screen zinc panel system with precise layout and precision joint lines to achieve the desired design intent. EDA also provided custom fabricated stainless steel accent trim surrounding the zinc panel system as designed by the Architect. The composite panel system integrated perfectly with the curtain wall system, as well as provided accents around the various facades of the building.
